* YS Jagan slams Babu's bulldozing tactics on capital city
YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched a blistering attack on Chandrababu Naidu government for its bulldozing tactics to set up the capital of the Andhra Pradesh state. Addressing a press conference, the YSRCP chief said: " We have clearly told in the Assembly that the capital should be set up at a place where at least 30,000 acres of the government land is available."
He further said that Chandrababu Naidu talked of land-pooling process, which is nothing but farmer-fooling process. This is the reason why the farmers are opposing Chandrababu's moves, he said.He assured the farmers that YSRCP would stand by them if the Government resorts to high-handed actions.
The YSRCP chief reminded that he had told in the assembly that at least 30 to 50,000 acres of land is needed to set up the new capital. "We have no objection for setting up the capital between Krishna and Guntur districts. But, the issue needs to be discussed in detail before deciding on anything. The government should not take away farm lands and deprive the agriculturists," he had said in the Assembly. The farmers in several villages of Guntur district are up in arms against the government's move to acquire their fertile lands to build the new capital.
